Dubai Palm Monorail
The Palm Monorail is the most iconic way to navigate across the Palm Jumeirah.
It is not a mere form of transportation; it’s an experiential journey to explore astonishing landmarks with every stop.
Stretching 5 km into the Arabian Gulf and shaped like a date palm, Palm Jumeirah is a man-made island that is one of the most audacious engineering projects ever undertaken.
Today, the 17 palm fronds are home to Dubai residents, major attractions, world-class hotels and spectacular beaches.
The Palm Monorail connects key landmarks of the Palm Jumeirah beginning from the Gateway Station at the entry of the Palm Jumeirah, to Golden Mile Galleria, Al Ittihad Park, Nakheel Mall and Atlantis Aquaventure station at the final stop of the journey. In addition to this, work has commenced on The Pointe Station scheduled for completion in 2021.
Originally inaugurated in 2009, the 5.5 km monorail line is the only public transportation system on Palm Jumeirah for residents, visitors and tourists, and it is one of the most iconic ways to explore all its destinations, with a low impact on the surrounding environment.
The single trip ticket price starts from 10 AED, and the round trip ticket price starts from 20 AED.
Tickets can be purchased online or at any Palm Monorail station customer service desk.
Please note Monorail users will obtain 3 hours free parking upon ticket validation. AED 10 fee per hour will be applicable following the 3rd hour of free parking.
The Palm Gateway station is the first stop and has over 1,600 parking spots so you can park at the tip of the Palm Jumeirah and take the monorail for the day. Enjoy a spectacular vantage point from the station as you enter Palm Jumeirah. You can also access the Palm Gateway station from the Dubai Tram.
